Denise is the heart and brains behind the care of your pets. She started the business in the basement of her home in 2000, and mainly by word of mouth, she outgrew it in 4 years. She put extensive thought and research into the design of the kennel she wanted to build, and in 2004 she opened the door to the kennel you see today. She loves to go boating, and traveling with her husband of 35 years to see their children; Brenda - Hereford, England; David - who has joined the Army; Thomas - Detroit, Michigan; Angela - Cold Spring, Kentucky.
Angie is a graduate of The University of Findlay with a bachelor's of science degree. She is also a licensed massage therapist and certified pet care technician. She started working at the Animal House shortly after she was married in the summer of 2009. She likes to go horseback riding, bowling, boating, and traveling to visit family and friends across the globe. She lives in Cold Spring, Kentucky with her husband and their two coonhounds, Rosie and Belle.
Aaron has been working at the Animal House since he got his driver's license at 16. He is now a junior at Ohio University, majoring in marine biology. He has stuck with us because he enjoys not being trapped behind a desk all day! At home, he has a shih ztu named Gizmo and a couple cats running around.
Jessie has been with us since her senior year at the career center, where she attended for the veterinary science program. She is now a freshman at the University of Cincinnati in the Veterinary Technician program, and plans to continue schooling to be a veterinarian. She loves "lovin' on the puppies" and interacting with all the animals here; at home she has two rats, Lewis and Clark, and two dogs, Harley (who gets to come to work with her every once in a while to play with everyone) and Rufus.
Courtney joined us this past spring. She will be attending Ohio State University this fall as a freshman majoring in Animal Science, and she hopes to someday become a veterinarian. She has been in 4-H for fifteen years, and has grown up raising cattle, chickens, pigs, sheep, rabbits, and a donkey. She has two dogs of her own; a Newfoundland named Oliver and a Catahoula named Stetson. She loves animals and working here at the Animal House!!
